When you are trying to achieve that perfect look for your dog with greasy, dirty hair, it can seem impossible. When grooming dogs with greasy hair we have several techniques we can use to get the finished appearance you want.
Getting to the roots.
The first thing we have to do is get right down to the roots using the right product for the job. We use top brands that we can trust that are safe and gentle on your dog. A pre wash is always a great way to help degrease stubborn dense fur. Using a cleansing pet shampoo like ‘Clean Dog Shampoo’ . This shampoo is very simply a natural and kind Organic, SLS/SLES and paraben free shampoo with Organic Aloe Vera.
Once we have completed the pre wash to rid the fur of any nasties, dirt and grease we can then work on the dog grooming package that you require, whether it is a bath and blow dry package or full grooming package we aim to bring the moisture and shine back to your dogs hairs without increasing the greasiness.
Grooming dogs does not end there though. Once your dog is squeeky clean you may want a trim to help with managing their fur. We offer several options depending on the type of hair your dog has and offer advice ion treatments you can use after the dog grooming experience.
On occasion when grooming dogs we find that the fur can still hold grease. it is here where we offer a hand strip service using various techniques and products to strip the grease from the fur. We would usually use chalk or a stripping stone to improve the grip and finally get that degrease hair they’ve been pining for.
