Buying handmade supports local people and small companies and also keeps the art of many old crafting traditions. Without the demand for these products these crafting skills will become a thing of the past, long lost. Each handmade item is about the person who lovingly made it and not about a machine. The time, effort and skill that goes into each item, the imagination that has taken to create it. Not something that is thrown away, but treasured and kept.
